Make Believe

I sit in class in wait for the bell

So as to see you once again

To have you walk up behind

And grab me tight

Your hands resting on my stomach

Your head on my shoulders

And you whisper

“God, I missed you!”

At this you spin me right around

And take my hands in yours

Palm to palm as in some holy kiss

As praying as one

For the moment to last

You look in my eyes as if in them is all you need

You pull me close

And in your hand you take my face

Your glare intent

You push away my hair

Grabbing hold of my back and bringing me closer and closer

And then…

The epitome of my day

The warmth of your lips as they mold with mine

Like clay

The subtle, smooth transitions

That hypnotizes me entirely

The calm that you induce

Your hands return to mine

And we walk

There is no need for the words

I just give you a look and you

Kiss my head

And as if nothing you say

“I Love you”

And I reply the same as yours

No talk, no more is needed

For this day, as I walk in heaven

I long for this escape

But to bad for me

It is just that of make believe

My mind will trick

And scorn me to show

That through only imagination

Will true love I every know
