Macgyver
Just What The Dr. Ordered
cobweb message on the ceiling,
dew dripped notes scrawled on the pane.
the promised, promise of forever,
echos, whispering my name.
they say you can' buy happiness,
but who are they to say.
some know to beat the loneliness,
there is a price you have to pay.
i paid what you were asking,
was some kind of switch and bait.
the broken parts were masked,
a painted smile there on your face.
i bought something illusive,
that item never did exist.
you said i was intrusive,
and both of us ended up pissed.
you, because i wouldn't settle,
me, for your dirty little tryst.
i tried so hard not to mettle,
but then - surrendered, when we kissed.
i've since moved on alone, much wiser,
a hard lesson learned, that's true.
a little like, clever MacGyver,
fixed my heart with super glue.
