Your smile inflates my heart as a hot air balloon on a deep hue of blue on a canvas.

You are the flavor of love that I’ve longed to taste my whole life.

Layer upon layer of petals,

they rest in anticipation, soft and exquisite.

The blood in my veins rushes on the wings of wind flurries,

at a vigorous pace, laced with emotional explorative wonder.

There is a meadow in my chest,

it's mostly hidden high up, as a nest in the tops of the trees.

Your pale white feet found the grassy meadow in me, lush and free.

I gotta say, that last line is a whole sensory experience. It reminds me of when I stood barefoot in the pasture, and how the grass felt. 😇 Very vivid poem in all ways. 😊
