Showing Luna love

If I were to speak to Luna, the goddess of the night

I would have to thank her for the turning of the tides

I would compare her to a mirror, reflection of the light

The brightness of the midday filtered through her eyes

I could call her many things like Cynthia or Selene

I could bask in moonbeams that make me feel serene

I love her when she's crescent, half or new or full

The lycanthropic dream, the catamenial pull

The many monthly transformation phases

Shows there's nothing wrong with all our changes

Showing us many blue, pink, and red faces

And we will know our place is, the same as outer space is

So while you are alive in the shadow of the sun

Celestial body lacking harshness that makes you the favorite one
