The Battle Between Light and the Paralysis Demon

Days collapsed.

Sleep vanished.

I forbade my eyes

to close,

afraid of the shadows

waiting inside.

One mistake,

one step outside the line—

and I cracked.

A night alone,

at the table—

I shut my eyes,

barely a moment

and It was there.

I fled to my room.

Bare walls.

No light.

No sign if life.

Just-

a mattress in the corner.

I made myself small.

My dog stood guard,

growling at nothing.

But it was not nothing.

She cast a glow,

Patronus Charm

white and fierce.

A shield.

It yielded to her command.

Dawn broke.

I was safe,

another day.
