Luminous Veil.

For 'The Sonnet Of Shadows" Challenge.

By Cathy (Christine Acheini) Ben-Ameh.Published 4 months ago 1 min read

Within the hush where fading echoes gleam,
I walk unseen yet bathed in silver fire.
The shadows guard me gently as I dream,
They glow like coals that warm my faint desire.

I seek a world beyond this heavy sky,
A realm where pain dissolves like autumn mist.
No memory will bind me, none will pry,
A hidden shore where hope and night coexist.

Yet still I bide, a seed in winter’s care,
Its pulse of green concealed from mortal sight.
The dark is not a grave but fertile air,
Where roots drink deep and grow toward secret light.

So when dawn breaks I’ll rise, no longer small,
A soul of shadow, shining after all.
