Lucifer's Lullaby: A Symphony of the Damned

Where Innocence Sleeps and Lucifer Sings

By Jason “Jay” BenskinPublished 10 months ago 1 min read
Lucifer by Franz von Stuck

Hush now, darling, close your eyes tight,

For beneath you, the Devil writhes at night.

A gory tune from splintered bone,

As worms prepare to feast alone.

The cradle breaks, the ceiling bleeds,

A cursed hymn from wicked deeds.

Sinister whispers crawl inside,

Where innocence and dread collide.

A thousand eyes, all black and wide,

Fingers claw and shadows bide.

No angels soar, no savior calls,

Only Lucifer’s song as darkness falls.

Author's Note:

This piece delves into the terrifying lullabies of the damned, where the soothing whispers of night are replaced with the Devil's symphony. Inspired by the dread of restless dreams and the horrors that dwell beneath our waking world, Lucifer's Lullaby serves as a chilling reminder that even the most innocent cradle songs can carry the echoes of malevolence. Sleep, if you dare.
