Loved Love

A Poem About the Many Things I Have Loved

By Jade LynnPublished 8 years ago 1 min read
head over heels love

I’ve loved love, and all the forms that it takes

Head over heels love, and love that ends in mistakes

I've loved as a daughter, a mother, a friend

I've loved as a lover, the love you never want to end

I've loved things that have brought me pain

I've loved quiet mornings, listening to gentle rain

I've loved going to bed early and loved sleeping in late

I've loved the "in love" feeling, on a romantic date

I've loved the fire in the sky as the sun sets over the sea

I've loved being alone, I've loved being free

I believe love can be seen, it can be tasted, and felt.

I've loved beautiful lips whose soft kisses made me melt

I mistakenly shared my precious love with the undeserving

I've loved learning new things while quietly observing

I've loved ripped jeans and loved the perfect shade of blush

I've missed my first love from my grade school crush

I believe love is a scent, and I believe love is a sound

I've loved the candles burning while in his love I'm drowned

I've loved our song playing while we passionately kiss

I've loved a love that floats you into heavenly bliss

I've loved too often, when I should have let go

I loved too fast, when I should have loved slow

I've loved in secret, I've loved out loud

I've found my true love hiding amongst a crowd

I've loved my babies faces from the moment they were born

I've loved their baby giggles, how the old days I mourn

I've loved each encounter with every love that I've had

I've loved happy, beautiful, crazy... young, old and sad.

I've loved dreaming of the future, and loved the memories of the past

I’ve loved my lifelong journey, seeking love that will last
