Love Will Glow
A poem for my hubby on our 36 years wedding anniversary
In love a long time
A deep song of the vine
A ray of love for us two
A beam, a team.

The soft glow of love
A warm fond love
A true bond of love
A joy, a toy, a tear.
*
Each kiss, pure,
No fear, love is near,
Eyes meet, love is deep,
Love soul, reap.
*
For you I'm true,
I'm lean and free,
I'm in love still,
Deep, time of my life.
*
Hot love, a fire, a rage,
our song of love will not be gone,
the beat of love for us two,
we two in love, more each year.

Echoes
I stepped carefully around the corner, the familiar sights and sounds hitting me like a brick to the face. My eyes watered. I could practically see us, all of us, back then, clustered around the outdoor tables in front of the pizza shop, the bar, the coffee shop. I could smell the various stalls from the events we’d been to on this street. I could taste the churros and nachos.
