Love Waits

A Poem

The most cherished thing

The Gift of Love

Worth the wait

No matter how long it takes

It’s a promise

An unbreakable bond

A beacon of hope

A light that shines through the dark

Patiently love waits

Like a ceaselessly running river

It will never run dry

No matter how long it takes to arrive

Don’t give up

If you are looking for love

Keep waiting

And one day, it will find you.

Come near, sit a spell, and listen to tales of old as I sit and rock by my fire. I'll serve you some cocoa and cookies as I tell you of the time long gone by when your Greats-greats once lived.

After my "first" left, it took 15 years but finally, I did find someone else. 30 years later, we are still together. yes, it often works.
