I Will Never Leave You
My daughter asked me
Will, I always stay
Many mommies just go away
Please do not ever leave me
My little girl told me one day
She saw a video that broke her heart
The thought of me leaving her, tore her apart
She wanted to be reassured I would always stay
I told her that NOTHING in this world,
Could take me away
"Baby, what did you see?"
"A mean mommy that smacked her daughter, and left her,"
"Oh, honey, that is not me,"
I stroke her hair, and hug her tight
"Let us go to your room,
And I will tuck you in all tight
Mommy loves you!"
