Love's Tightrope
Poetry on the Fragility of Love
Love is a tightrope. -Michelle Liew.

She tiptoed the line.
Barefoot, balanced, gentle
Beneath, his outstretched hands, steady.
One step too quick,
A gust too strong
She slipped.
He reached. She fell.
He never caught.
The net, untouched.
Love's thin net
A web too easily frayed
Is always spun of air
A promise, never a catch.

He didn't catch her?? Disappointing Michelle. Wow, - Good luck in the challenge!!
Oh, this one is sharp! Love as a tightrope, delicate and precarious—such a striking image. The fall, the untouched net, the unfulfilled promise… oof, that hits. It’s beautifully crafted and painfully true. A perfect blend of elegance and heartbreak!
Great one, Michelle!
Insightful verses! Thanks for sharing~
