Felt her heart beat so close to my chest
Thrills and amazement, for this was my first
Hunny was enchanted by the spark in my eyes
Our love had no rivals like eagles in the skies

Never wished a day would come when we would both split
But reality is real; guess I'm just playing with words
Wasn't so long and we both met our fears
Hunny said she was done; left with bag and baggage

The one in love now the one in sorrow
Trapped in the pain; wondering if I can do tomorrow
But I wish someone had told me that love was more than a feeling
I took hunny for granted; never worked on my fuming
I depended on fleeting promises, but left commitment out of the premises
Love is action; it requires more than words
Only sacrifice works; not selfishness
Today, hunny is gone; prolly never coming back
Love is more than a feeling; I hope to remember that
