Love People Well

“Love People Well”

Verse 1

I used to think I needed

A map for every mile,

A list of all the places

I should go to make life worthwhile.

But the older that I’m getting,

The clearer it becomes—

The only thing that matters

Is how I love when day is done.

Chorus

I don’t have a single plan

More sacred than this one:

Learning how to love people well

Before my time is done.

Not the trophies, not the titles,

Not the stories I can sell—

Nothing means more in this lifetime

Than learning to love people well.

Verse 2

I’ve chased a hundred visions,

Held dreams that slipped away,

But kindness never leaves you

When the world begins to sway.

It’s the quiet acts of mercy,

The soft words in the night—

The way we hold each other

When we’re too tired to fight.

Chorus

I don’t have a single plan

More sacred than this one:

Learning how to love people well

Before my time is done.

Not the trophies, not the titles,

Not the stories I can sell—

Nothing means more in this lifetime

Than learning to love people well.

Bridge

Maybe love’s the only legacy

That time can’t wash away.

Maybe hearts remember tenderness

Long after words decay.

Maybe every soul we touch

Becomes a lantern in the dark—

A little light we leave behind

When we’ve given them our heart.

Verse 3

So here’s to every moment

I choose presence over pride,

To every time I listen

Instead of needing to be right.

If I leave this world tomorrow,

Let the truth be easy to tell—

I spent my life becoming

Someone who loved people well.

Final Chorus

I don’t have a single plan

More sacred than this one:

Learning how to love people well

Before my time is done.

Not the trophies, not the titles,

Not the stories I can sell—

Nothing means more in this lifetime

Than learning to love people well.

Outro

And if love is all I’m measured by,

Then I’ve lived my life just fine—

For loving people well

Is the greatest plan of mine.
