Love not love but...
Will they... won't they?

"Oh, Jeff... I love you too... but..."
"But what? Hey wait. No ifs, no buts..."
"But why? I cannot lie. My love for you will never die... but..."
Sighs... "Oh my! Relationship? Bye-bye."
"It's not you, it's me, this 'us', it cannot be."
(though she visits him, 'one last time'... where seated, she is, upon his settee.)
"Come here, my dear, closer, and you will see."
"But no... oh no... it can't be so."
"It can, and will, as well you know."
"But no Jeff... no Jeff... no, no... Oh..."
"Ahah, Oh ho..." Thinks: told you so...
"Oh, Jeff..., oh-oh... oh... oh... oh... OH!"

I thought Jeff deserved to win back his love in at least one of the stories. I hope the climax of this story does not shock.

Thanks for reading. This verse was written in support of my little flash fiction challenge: 'Oh Jeff '

Great poem. Totally thought he was going to kill her but I guess he killed her in a different way. Liked how you carried the theme of using but throughout
Hahahahahahahahahah omgggg, I was not expecting that! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Really now. With all the 'oh's' that could mean kinky things and ideas.
oh ho ho.. Jeff really won this one
