love, my love
a poem ♥️

hey, my love
morning light is shining in your eyes, my dear
let me shade you from it
duck down into me
and feel the warmth and comfort
of my dark embrace
against you
—
here, my love
this place here with you is why i live my life
cozy, warm, and loved,
you help me kill my strife
hold me until i can barely feel
a thing but you
and i will know
my joy is true
—
move, my love
let me feel the weight of all your endless love
kiss me breathless underneath the lights above
dig your hands into my hair
and make me sigh your name
like it’s a prayer
that’s always there
—
now, my love
make me smile and laugh the way you always do
entertwine our hands
they’ll never have a clue
about the weight of what we have
and what we are
you’re brighter even than a star
i smile and feel your glow
and know i’ll watch you rise so far
