Love, Loss and the Quiet Pain in Between
Heartbreak and Healing

1.
Some love feels like sunlight,
soft, warm, safe.
And some love feels like fire,
beautiful-
until it burns you down.
2.
You were never a storm,
but I let you destroy me.
How can I blame the wind
when I was the one
Who left my doors open?
3.
They say time heals.
But some wounds
learn to live inside you.
They just stop screaming.
4.
I kept watering you,
thinking you'd bloom.
I didn't realize
I was drowning myself
just to keep you alive.
5.
If love has to beg,
it isn't love.
it's just a heart
asking for something
that was never meant
to be held.

Oh, this one hits deep—short, sharp, and soaked in truth. Every line? A little punch to the soul. That last one? Oof. Straight to the heart. Loved it!
Amazing poem! Great work
