We kill flowers because we think them beautiful,
We kill ourselves because we think we are not.
In a world that demands perfection,
We shatter under the weight of our reflection.
I was the ocean; you sought rivers,
Boundless love, but you chased silvers.
I held the moon to light your way,
You reached for stars, and drifting away.
Who are we when the masks fall down,
When silence replaces the city's sound?
At night, memories flow-
Salt and water- tears we know.
Forever was never meant for people,
Only for fleeting moments, equal.
I'll leave one blank page, unmarked, unread,
A space for the words we left unsaid.
