Love Like Fire

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 2 months ago 1 min read

Verse 1

Love sparks in the quiet night,

A flicker that feels so right.

It dances soft, it burns so bright,

But flames don’t ask before they bite.

Pre-Chorus

I reach for the glow, I reach for the flame,

Not knowing if I’ll heal or if I’ll be blamed.

Chorus

Love is like fire—

It can warm your heart,

Or burn down your house,

Tear your world apart.

It’s a dangerous desire,

A risk we all take,

To hold the heat close,

Or watch it break.

Verse 2

Sometimes it’s shelter, a gentle embrace,

Sometimes it’s chaos you cannot face.

The same flame that lights the dark,

Can leave behind a shattered mark.

Pre-Chorus

I reach for the glow, I reach for the flame,

Not knowing if I’ll heal or if I’ll be blamed.

Chorus

Love is like fire—

It can warm your heart,

Or burn down your house,

Tear your world apart.

It’s a dangerous desire,

A risk we all take,

To hold the heat close,

Or watch it break.

Bridge

Do I trust the spark, or fear the blaze?

Do I run away, or let it stay?

Every ember carries both hope and pain,

Every fire leaves a scar or a flame.

Final Chorus

Love is like fire—

It can warm your heart,

Or burn down your house,

Tear your world apart.

Still I’ll walk through the fire,

For the chance to be whole,

Because even in ashes,

Love feeds the soul.
