1

I am in love!

From the rooftops I declare

I shout from the heavens in the air

I am in love!

Let the people prepare

For none shall compare

2

Love, Love, love!

What good does such a word do

When you fly from me like a dove

I have forgotten what I knew

In hopes of attaining you

3

Let me remove the wicked thoughts

For I am in love!

What is death in the face of love

What is pain in the face of love

What is poverty in the face of love

What is life in the face of love

What is happiness in the face of you

What is tomorrow in the face of you

4

I ramble on like an old man sometimes

I am in love!

I can not say it enough

the lord could strike me down in a puff

I will still be able to proudly say

I am in love!

5

Yet a fear lingers,

Deep down in the dark,

That you will never say

I am in love,

6

But I am in love!

If I die today like a fish

Then I have but one wish

For you to know what's Long overdue,

I am in love with you!
