Love Is Patient

Sickness tore through one morning

You wretched in the bathroom

And came out soon after

A plastic stick held high

Two lines like smiling teeth

Behind lips moving fast excited

Telling stories to a belly

Which grows quick with life

As the months pass slowly on

For love is patient

Judah LoVato

My collection of sometimes decent writing

Which I've left "there" for seekers to seek

Though I lack the grandeur of that Pirate King

Perhaps these pebbles can be a light

In this life, this laughing tale
