Love is...
to the tune of "The Impossible Dream", refrain, but left hanging
By Randy Wayne Jellison-KnockPublished 11 months ago • 1 min read

So may we be blessed,
To care not the cost,
To lift up the hopeless,
To seek out the lost,
To defend what is right,
Gladsome burden to bear,
To be willing to lay down our lives,
Heaven’s mercy to share.
Let us love, though companions be few,
In humility…

This is a heartwarming poem. Superbly crafted and meaningful.
Splendid work Randy! I would love to see this on the cover of a greeting card!
“To defend what is right” is the line that rings true with me in this part. Sometimes defending what is right will require a bit of fight - willing to lay down our lives.
Hey you!!! Nice to see a post from you, Randy! Hope all has been well. Beautiful entry! Felt like part of a sermon, leaving me to linger on the impact the words had for me. Thank you!
This was so deep and true. Loved your poem!

Perfectly written, Brother <3
Humility is the important lesson we forget sometimes.
