love is an eternal flame
My final goodbye
As the darkness swells
a single flame illuminates the page
My sweet Annmarie, I am afraid this will be the last you hear from me.
My final goodbye to the woman I love
You are my light in the darkness.
Your face is all I see now.
as this lantern shines for me to write
You have shined for me to love
to share the light you give
has been the biggest gift
hold onto your light, my dear
continue to be the light in the dark
Your light is too bright to dim.
I can see you now dancing.
You move so gracefully.
like this light in my lantern
You are warm, you are bright.
My light here is fading.
Please carry my light with you, my dear
Every time you use a lantern, remember me.
And remember how you gave me light.
until the very end,
Goodbye, my love, my Annmarie

Beautiful poem βοΈπ¦βοΈπ
This piece captures the tenderness of love meeting loss with breathtaking vulnerability. The imagery of light and lanterns beautifully symbolizes memory and devotion beyond death.
Love the simple way the message is carried in your piece. Its clean. And the way it give that picture of writing in the dark feel with the lamp as the source of light. Perfect Image.
