My black and white is not your story
Your lack of sight does not mean glory
The shades of grey cannot be changed
Our colour pallet must be rearranged
I cannot see the way you see
Your choices are not good for me
I want to blend the spectrum shades
To be a glorious world we’ve made
We must share our love with all the races
Our hearts will be filled with warm embraces
We don’t abide by bigotry
We hope to change our history
Please gather all to clean the slate
Of prejudice, bias and hate
We need to see our world as one
All shades that blend under the sun
Don’t let your hearts be cold as stone
Open them wide, let your love be known
For every man, woman, child and land
My faith in you makes my rainbow band.
