Love Hurts
A rose as red as a bleeding heart,
Pierces deep, it tears love apart.
Its beauty blinds, its thorns dig in,
A fragile dance of loss and sin.
The veins that carried passion’s flame,
Now drip with sorrow, grief, and shame.
Each beat resounds, a mournful cry,
For love that lived, then said goodbye.
An arrow strikes, the wound is deep,
Memories haunt, they never sleep.
Yet in the ache, a truth remains,
Love’s raw power defies the pain.
For though it hurts, it also heals,
A lesson that the soul reveals.
A red hot bloom, a lasting scar,
Love hurts, but shapes us as we are.
