True Love

By simplicityPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Two vain meet

and take a path so as not in vain

It goes up and down,

with a bend

Lost in a wood,

it can be hard to see a tree in many

One tree seen, made a mark

That tree, with time, set to wait,

for you to take the path and meet

Drew life from root to arms

To be tall, when need be

To give a spot to hide, when need be

It gave....

Even it's wood for a home

Not the same in form,

tree to wood

up keep hard

Loss of glam, to age

Gain of duty, anew

The past tree is more than wood

It is hard to not see your tree, in any tree, in the sea of many

Lone or not, duty was the home of no one else

It grew love

Un seen

here, for ever more

It is now care in root to arms in any form

Love is left even past death

Wonderful play on words, love, tree, life, death and beyond. Really deep and thought provoking.
