Days blend and continue on undisturbed for the most part. There is a lot of waiting in between workouts and eating. There is one repair we are working on. Other than the repair it's all monitoring and stand by. Monotony feels more tirtiring than his workouts and work. Days ends come around and sleep is attempted. We all are adjusting and have interacted minimally so far. We seem humbled by our surroundings and task. Sutton is the crew member easiest to be around. Today passes uneventfully. Sleep comes after counting to around 89. Probably out of boredom and a desire to stop counting.

He can feel his fingers gripping for support. A hazy mist leads through a rainforest-esk wonderland until there is a building before him. It stands strong and unremarkable. A cement building with minor cracks reaching three stories standing as the only building in the wild forest. Small fractures that indicate it has been here for a while. Although unremarkable, the building achieves disrupting the wild untamed feel of the rainforest by abruptly appearing. It decreases the lonesome serenity of this place. It recenters him into his dream. It gives a purpose. He knows he needs to get inside. He isn't sure he should go inside, but he wants to explore it and knows he must. 

Each finger presses against the white walls of a hallway as each foot stumbles infront of the other. The bright white is a stark contrast to the drab of the outer facade. Each step leads him further down the rabbit hole. This place feels so much more familiar than he could understand. More familiar than any new unfamiliar and uncharted venue should. Even so, he can't remember ever seeing this place or one similar to it before now. The hallway feels as if it is slipping. It begins to feel slanted to one side. This makes it a challenge to get to the next doorway. Once inside and through the doorway there are more white walls. His disorientation stops once he passes through the doorway. With his senses back to normal he can take in more of his environment.

A steel table counter workspace is off to one side. Papers are scattered, but confined to a single corner of this counter. The same corner where a single stool sits. A fan blows the corner of a file making it flap ever so slightly. A fan of cool filtered air would be an a nuisance except for without it the air is stuffy and feels too heavy to breathe. Currently, the fan is running on the lowest setting. Without a doubt the fan is to blame for the scattering of the papers. After about a minute and hundreds of micromovements another paper from the file wriggles free and scatters itself. However, the comfort of breathing comfortably allows for the organization to seem less important. He still fights the urge to not scoop up all the papers and place them back into the folder.  Even if the process would just start anew since he couldn't bring himself to turn off the fan. 

Micah is aware of his dream and his awareness in it. He can feel himself being presented with a problem. He is also aware that he is there to be working on solving the problem. He could not rationalize how he knew all this, but he knew. It is a dream afterall and he knew what he knew and he didnt need to understand the plot because questioning wouldn't help progress it. Being a dream, it was taking the course of one. 

In the dream he understood Jupiter to have the same capabilities as earth. An image plays like a movie infront of him, as if he were at a planetarium. If Jupiter were sealed by a cover  and encapsulated with willow seeds, sunflowers, and other items such as carbon and organic matter, the storms would flare up eventually causing various physical and chemical reactions. Like a boiling pot eventually chemicals would rain down continuously until water also rains down as precipitation naturally seperate out. Eventually, a core like earth's is formed. As the matter condenses, the overall size of the planet shinks. Jupiter would become more and more like earth. Precipitates fall and are seperated out creating stable land. However, the most puzzling problem still exists, how could humans cover Jupiter. As it is now, it is too large and volatile. It would be a challenge, to say the least. It isn't believed humans could ever figure it out(at least that was the general feeling). For some reason he felt they had to have two ways for covering the planet. The first by way of drones then the second the alphabet. One had to be pain stakingly done and account for the actual physical work of it, the other keystrokes but with a significant amount of math and planning that was the technical facilitated assisted way. Both seemed at this moment unrealistic if in the real world, but perfectly placed in a dream world.

The presence of ammonia and other chemicals are important qualities that Jupiter possesses. One's that feel important. Like an X to an algebra equation. He watches himself scribble a few words on a sheet of paper infront of him. He can only watch. It feels like being stuck in the eye of a rerun he has no contol over, only stranger because he is spying to know what he appears to already know. On the last word the pen ink starts running thin. The ball point etching into the paper. 

He can see the formation of the core. All the condensing and eventual shrinking, the core becomes a liquid underneath. The solid layers of precipitate and burnt bits condense, enclosing the core. 

He is aware of his perspiration which is undoubtedly dampening his pillow, as his head sleeps on it. His head, the overworked vessel that is responsible for his free transport to this place, to his secret office. He seemed aware of his sleeping state and sleeping body left in real life. 

He asks uninhibited, "Won't that cause storms on earth, changing space?".

"Maybe. Yes. Depends", he is answered with.

The dismissive way this answer dropped annoyed him. 

He could understand the entity, but not see it. It must have sensed his annoyance. 

"What if it lead to two earths?", the voice adds.

"What if it did? But,,,everyone dies and no one is left to appreciate two earths?", Micah thinks out loud.

"Besides, since when have humans cared about consequences Micah?", it responds.

As true as this might be it annoyed him once again. 

"Jupiter is too big, it will never be possible", he heard himself say. Plus wouldn't gravity need to work the same as earth to make sure the particles condense around the core like earth?"

"Why can't that be controlled or accounted for, it's a bubble. Surely it could be figured out. Intervene if necessary, if it doesn't happen naturally.", it responds.

He could feel the synapses in his brain firing. Controlled or accounted for? This was blowing his mind. Simultaneously he discovered he didn't know a sensible response for this. He had honestly never thought about this before, but he kept coming back to the words, Oh yeah and why not. Even when he smoked he had never come up with these thoughts. He wished he could smoke a little right now. He could feel himself wishing he had more to say, but he was unprepared for this. Maybe something more scientific or smart would be more appropriate, but he didn't. Instead he replied, "We'd be godlike, controlling gravity."

"God like?!", said with amusement. The entity seemed thoroughly amused by this. 

Micah didn't like feeling so dumb in his own dream. So, he doubled down, "Yes, godlike. Creating a world where parameters are controllable at a whim."

It would be science and necessary, not unknown or unfathomable. So, controllable is godlike?, the entity asked rather amused again.

Micah felt his head overloading with thoughts. He wanted to be alone with this new information. He didn't want to be the innocent toy set before this entity. 

"It's not easy, but maybe you (humans) could figure it out. AND become a god to a new world and create a new place to expand to."

He had no desire to be a god. He simply wanted to find Clairy and prove her work correct. He would never have the stuff to be god. He liked a joint at bedtime, booze on holidays, and inappropriate jokes. Plus he had no desire to control the world he could barely control his boxers from riding up at bedtime. 

"Clairy", he gasped as he came back to his senses. "Where is Clairy, is she okay? Is she alive? Or or,,,,,really, gone? Do you have her? He couldn't bring himself to say the word dead. He had decided long ago that they lived on together. As he asked, he felt the dream slipping away. The edges became faint as if his eyes were seeing both the dream and present at once. He tried to recenter himself in the dream, but it was out of his control now. He awakes to being shaken. This was the last strand that ripped him from his dream. 

"Who is Clairy?", a wide eyed Sutton sat across from him almost nose to nose. "You were really having something of a dream. Making a huge commotion. I wasn't sure what to do. I let it go for a while. Ate a snack and watched. Ultimately I decided to wake you by shaking you. Sorry if it was a good one. Didn't sound like a good one though."

"It was something of a dream. Thanks, no big deal.", he said while rolling over onto his other side. Going back to sleep now.", he said loud so Sutton could hear him.

"Okay, me too. Is this the common way you sleep"

"Might be."

He heard Suttons head find his pillow. It was only after this he took a deep breath. Finally he could relax, be alone, and think about what had just transpired.

Maybe it could work. Maybe it would also be how they could easily figure out a alphabet. A prototype alphabet that then could be applied to earth. He couldn't help but think it was too complicated for his kind. At this moment it is too complicated for him. The idea was years away from being able to be attempted and implemented. He felt lightyears away from his Clairy. Tomorrow he'd have to see how the idea is received by his crew mates. His crew mates reactions would decide what he should do next. He imagined her out there, working behind the scenes as she always had. He couldn't help but smile. 
She never cared if anyone thought she was crazy, infact she seemed to prefer it that way. As crazy as these ideas sound, what invention or progress have come from a truly sane person.  

He heard Sutton snoring. He couldn't help but wonder where he was. He decided to compose and send a message to headquarters before sleeping. He would be checking and receiving data in the morning from the drones. After that he'd be checking the data from the other research.

He composes a note and it reads, "Plan to talk next week after both have had time to analyze data. Finishing repair tomorrow. I put cabbage under my space helmet and hat. Yes, that's my baseball reference. Getting better?"

After writing the message he couldn't help but be hopeful he could return to the unknown place. Somehow he knew he wouldn't return to it tonight. His disappointment only felt temporary and not permanent.The two words he had scribbled on the paper were Tensor analysis. Under which he had tried to write Jordan-Brans-Dicke Jupiter theory.
