Love Can Change
Sometimes it hits you like a rock
the feeling inside, the electric shock,
You can feel it grow
but you never know
when it can literally stop flowing.
The currents can run deep
like open wires on water
you hope in your heart it can never falter
but it does.
You can wake up one day and feel the change
the time in your life that needs rearranged.
The love that is easy to give,
but quick to disappear, when one day you awake
and it's just perfectly clear.
You look at that person beside you at night,
awake in the morning
and clearly see in a different light.
You just know in your heart
that now is the time to refresh or renew
Because love can change, yes, it's true.
