love and loss with a twist

Teacup Tears

By BuzuPublished 2 years ago β€’ 1 min read

In dusty corners, shadows sigh,

Where trinkets whisper stories gone.

A chipped teacup, once vibrant sky,

Holds memories, now forlorn.

Cracked porcelain, veins of gold,

Once adorned a laughter-filled tea.

Two hands intertwined, warm and bold,

Sipping love, carefree and free.

Now chipped and faded, paint worn thin,

Like smiles etched upon fading skies.

One hand lingers, love grown thin,

Tears reflecting in vacant eyes.

The other hand, a distant ghost,

Reached for warmth, now turned to snow.

Love's echo lingers, bittersweet, most,

As silent tears silently flow.

But wait, a glint beneath the dust,

A hidden note, tucked deep inside.

"My love," it reads, "though life be thrust,

Remember always, we abide."

And in that touch, a phantom kiss,

The chipped teacup whispers low,

Love lost, yes, but never missed,

Its echo lives, a gentle glow.
