In dawn's embrace, my weary eyes did wake,
To find a truth that made my heart forsake.
The dream I held, a love so deep and true,
Was naught but fragments, shattered, lost to view.
A cruel reality pierced through my soul,
For in her eyes, my love could find no goal.
A one-way path, my heart had long pursued,
While hers remained untouched, forever subdued.
The ache within, a tempest swirling fierce,
A storm of unrequited love, so fierce.
I questioned if my life should bear this weight,
If dreams and aspirations met such fate.
But in the depths of despair's dark abyss,
A flicker of resilience, a remiss.
For deep within my being, still I knew,
That life's grand tapestry had more in view.
The dreams and goals I'd etched within my heart,
Whispered softly, urging me not to depart.
For life's a symphony, with ebb and flow,
A journey filled with highs and depths below.
So though the love I sought was never mine,
I found the strength to let my soul align.
With purpose strong, I rose from sorrow's well,
To chase the dreams and plans my heart did tell.
For life's true essence lies in forward stride,
In lessons learned from love that once denied.
And though the pain of unrequited dreams,
May haunt my heart, it's not what solely gleams.
I woke that morning, with a teardrop's stain,
Yet hope arose, the phoenix from the pain.
For dreams and goals, like beacons in the night,
Illuminate the path, a guiding light.
So let me not surrender to despair,
But find the strength to rise, my soul laid bare.
For life's sweet symphony still plays its part,
And in its cadence, healing fills my heart.
