Lost

At least it’s all possible

Lost and no direction

Turn west for gold

When the veins run dry

Find new ones and dig harder

When you have exhausted it all

Blame yourself for believing us

Lost and no direction

Go east for new things

Build and build until something sticks

When your hands are raw and you have no more to build

Blame yourself for not being a genius

Lost and no direction

Go north, live in solitude

Write all your thoughts down

When the ink runs dry and all the paper useless

Blame yourself for not being a good writer

Lost and no direction

Go back south and sit

Sit in the despair you caused

And then after sitting until your direction is found

Go back north for your paper

Then head east for your tools

And west for your gold

Finally when you have returned south

know you were never to blame for the wrong path taken

you just weren’t taking it the right way

Someone had to build the map
