Lost

The Hope of Love

By Archiel AmonPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Lost I am

The continuity of confusion is disturbing

Love I found

The wind has carried it away as leaves in a storm

I feel nothing but pain now

My heart clings to the love that has seeped out

Drip by drip a puddle forms

What had once been full teeters on empty

I cup my hand trying to catch my fleeting source of life

It trickles through my fingers

The stains become remnants of what used to be

Now they may be the only thing left

The only reminder of what I use to have

The days blend into nights

The nights blend into nothingness

A void has formed

Both without and within

My body is weakened

My mind dares not to be at ease

The pain fluctuates from my epicenter

It reaches every part of my body

Shall I succumb to this feeling

This tragic ending to a beautiful love story

What's next

What is my next move

My life source is steadily depleting

Time is of the essence

How has love failed me

I can't

I will not believe such a lie

Love is beautiful

It cannot end this way

I will sip on the flow of love that continues to leave me

For I must finish this race

I cannot stop now

I must find the directions

The coordinates that lead to salvation

Lost I may be

But I shall not fail

Crawl I must

But stand I will

Run I shall

The stars will guide me

I believe

I hold on to my faith

Love will be my vehicle

That leads me out of desolation
