Replicated smiles from past endeavors, hoping this time it could be it. Craving admiration to validate my feelings. I can't figure out when the lust splits and goes separate ways.

I keep going the wrong way, until I forget all the progress I've made. and I try to abstain from sharing gazes, but I trust too easy. I give into passionate kisses and forget the pattern that follows. I fit into that crescent spot against your chest and it reinforces my perception. Kind words find their way into my memory, along with the voice who spoke them. Playing on a loop like a melodic ear worm.

Self-pity is so easy when things seem to always break. I don't understand why you need to wrap me around your finger if you're not going to use me. I never seem to remember I fall too quickly. It's a tragedy, that I'm lost in thought over you.

And you didn't even ask for my number.

About the Creator

Autumn

Writing has always been my escape from reality. Letting me put memories, pain and desires into words. I enjoy making my stories poetic to really capture the scene and feeling of each line.
