Lost In The Shadows
Where Is The Light For This Sorrow Dream?

I’ve walked this path with weary feet,
Each step a whisper of defeat,
The stars above, they’ve lost their glow,
The winds of doubt, they fiercely blow.
I’ve sown my dreams in fields of grey,
But harvests wither, hopes decay,
The light I chased, so far away,
A fading ember, night’s cruel sway.
Hands calloused, scars that ache,
A heart that’s tired, so much to take,
Yet whispers tell me, soft and near,
“Not all is lost, don’t drown in fear.”
Perhaps the road is meant to bend,
Perhaps it’s not the journey’s end,
In shadows thick, a lesson hides,
Strength is found when courage rides.
So I will rise, though weak I seem,
I’ll mend the tatters of this dream,
For darkness cannot silence grace,
I’ll fight my way, I’ll find my place.
But storms may rage, and rivers swell,
The echoes of my silent yell,
Each tear that falls, a plea unheard,
A fleeting hope, a whispered word.
The mountains loom with jagged spires,
My spirit burns, but dims, but tires,
Yet somewhere past the misty climb,
Awaits a dawn, a better time.
And when the skies release their rain,
I’ll dance amidst the falling pain,
For even storms that tear apart,
Can cleanse the soul and mend the heart.
I’ve wandered far, I’ve wandered wide,
I’ve fought the shadows where they hide,
And though the path is dark and steep,
My soul will wake, my strength I’ll keep.
