Lost in the Dark

Lost in the Dark

By Sender Jeannestal Published 2 years ago Updated 6 months ago 1 min read

Can you feel the irony?

Your eyes are open but you can’t see

Darkness floods the mind but the emotions are unclear

The body begins to pace around and not a single thought can be displayed

Then anger starts to settle in and make a home

He brings over his few buddies with him; depression and worry

You lie to yourself and tell them to make themselves comfortable like you got enough room for more bad karma

At this point the body begins to give up

We stay there longing for help

Though we might not make a sound

We’re screaming

Self isolation seems to be the only remedy because everywhere you go you see the same thing

Hoping for a change in scenery

It would put an ease to this seemingly never ending journey of running in circles

A change in direction if you will

Oh God let there be light because the darkness is everywhere
