Lost in Destiny’s Wake

Navigating the Tides of Connection and Separation

If one day, we don’t talk anymore,

Will you feel sad, I implore?

Time might wear our friendship thin,

Silently, our bonds might grow dim.

If we drift apart, don’t despair,

It’s not that you’re not in my care,

But do you still think of me too?

In this distance, what can we do?

Let’s not be upset, don’t be blue,

For fate brought us together, it’s true.

Though our paths may soon diverge,

In our hearts, our memories will surge.

The most pleasant space between me and you,

Is not constant togetherness, but trust, it’s true.

As long as destiny keeps us near,

One day, we’ll reunite, have no fear.

If one day, we lose our way,

And my heart can’t find words to say,

It’s not that I don’t love you, my dear,

But exhaustion and loneliness I fear.

If one day, we truly part,

I’ll still hold you close in my heart,

Grateful for the time we spent together,

You’re a memory I’ll cherish forever.

You’ll forever be the brightest light,

In my life’s story, shining so bright.
