Oh how I wish I was a lost boy.

I’d fly across Mermaid Lagoon,

Maybe sneak a kiss or two.

I’d be free to run in the woods.

No one to mind my dirty, scraped knees.

No more hiding another ripped stocking.

No more watchful eyes to keep all the rules.

No one to be disappointed.

As a lost boy I’d do what I want.

I’d sleep till noon when the mood fit

Or stay up from dusk till dawn.

Yes, yes the lost boy life is best for me.

Lost boys run and play.

Lost boys dig tunnels and climb trees.

Lost boys don’t answer to anyone.

Lost boys are free.
