Autumn winds twirl around now vibrant trees.

Colors burst like a fire exploding to life.

Red, orange, and yellow leaves flutter to the ground

Like feathers of the burning Phoenix.

Pumpkins grow large in endless fields

While children dream of frightened faces, yet to be carved.

Apples grow perfectly plump, ripe for the picking!

Then sweet scent of cider wafts through the air.

The nights grow endless and the moon glows bright.

Bonfires burn to embers

and jackets pull tight.

Temperatures drop quickly this time of year.

The harvest moon looms over head.

Corn is picked in a maze now.

And the fields all are bare.

Perfect autumn night.
