Lost
I begin to lose my way, through streets that I know. Am I who I am? Or am I another silhouette? I twist and turn, looking for me. But instead, I find... You.
I feel lost
I trudge through the woods, the fields
It all looks familiar, but in the mist
I can only see silhouettes
They are people, telling me to feel this way and that
I try and resist, every time,
But every day, I feel less like me
I begin to lose my way, through streets I know
Am I who I am? Or am I
Just another silhouette?
I twist, I turn, looking for me,
But instead, I find...
You.
The only clear thing in the mist.
You wander to me, asking to help
And I realize, you're just as lost
I know the feeling of lost
No one should have to experience that feeling
We're not so different
You don't know these roads.
Not like I do, at least.
Slowly, just by being you, you make the mist go away
Your laugh makes the sky turn from gray to blue
Your eyes love me, and mine love you too
You care for me, you always do
And it makes the world clearer
Sometimes, I wonder
Do I truly love you?
But when I see that snow that you love so much,
Or something that reminds me of you when you're not around
Suddenly, I have a purpose
I remember some of the roads
I remember the right path through the fields
The mist is hazy, still
I don't know if that mist will ever go away.
But as I always with you,
Hand and hand through it,
I start to realize that, with you,
I don't feel as
Lost.
