Loss and grief

Poem

By Mr AddyPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

In shadows deep, where sorrow dwells,

I wander through my private hells,

A tapestry of loss and grief,

Where tears are shed, with no relief.

Each passing day, a heavy weight,

Upon my heart, an endless freight,

I carry memories, like sacred stones,

Within my soul, their whispers groan.

The ache, the ache, it knows no end,

A soul's lament, it cannot mend,

For when we love, we risk the pain,

Of shattered dreams, of love in vain.

Oh, grief, you are a relentless tide,

That pulls me under, where I hide,

In the depths of despair, I find my way,

Through winding paths of disarray.

But amidst the darkness, a flicker gleams,

A glimmer of hope, in shattered dreams,

For even in loss, there lies a thread,

That weaves resilience, in hearts that bled.

Through tear-stained nights and somber days,

I'll find the strength to mend my ways,

To cherish what was, to let go and heal,

To embrace the wounds, and learn to feel.

For loss and grief, though they may scar,

Can shape our souls, and make us mar,

They teach us lessons, bitter and sweet,

To treasure life, before we meet

The final rest, where sorrows cease,

And find in love, eternal peace.

So, let me dance upon this tightrope's brink,

Embracing loss and grief, as I learn to think.
