Loser's Paradise
by: Teresa J. Lavender (A.K.A. Teresa Seavey)

Uptown, you put down the people who live there
downtown, it comes around what goes around – you always end up there
try to understand what pulls you back, what draws you in
it's just a joke, up in smoke, have another beer my friend
your living in a loser's paradise – don't think twice
cause you might wonder why
you're living in a loser's paradise
Oh, and it's real nice, until you look around, see what you found
you're going nowhere real slow
paycheck, not quite stretched enough to pay the bills
but that's OK, you'll find a way to purchase some cheap thrills
who cares, broken chairs, think about the ride from here to there
it's guaranteed, get what you need, mind cluttered up with booze, cigarettes and weed
your living in a loser's paradise – don't think twice
cause you might wonder why
you're living in a loser's paradise
Oh, and it's real nice, until you look around, see what you found
there's no one really there
You think about the life you used to have
sometimes you want to go back there
you think about the life that you could have
it's too much trouble going there
so you keep doing what you've always done
cause that's the easy thing to do
and no one tells you when the party's done
so for you it's never through
your living in a loser's paradise – don't think twice
cause you might wonder why
you're living in a loser's paradise
Oh, and it's real nice, until you look around, see what you found
living in a loser's paradise
