Looking Left to Go Right
Unrequited, Unavailable, Unsure

Her love has a charm,
But she’s lost all direction.
Floating at sea without a lighthouse to guide.
His eyes had a grace,
And she didn’t expect to fall.
Tumbling down the hill with no end in sight.
She’s caught in his storm,
While he’s safe from the rain,
All the while he’s looking
Out the wrong window to bring her home.
Her mind has a crack,
But it was meant for her heart.
Passing it back and forth between the two.
His soul had a spot,
One she still refuses to see.
Saying it’s just the water in her eyes.
She’s caught in his storm,
While he’s safe from the rain,
All the while he’s waiting
At the wrong door to welcome her home.
She’s tears dropping,
And she’s rain falling.
Heart cracking,
Mind breaking.
Still waiting for that light to guide her home.
