Looking For a Forever Friend

Forever Friend

By Drew LankfordPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

having a forever friend would be like, super cool - me

no end looking for a forever friend,

a friend in deep,

this way and that and everywhere between,

that very hope forever the thing (sounds spooky, me no like, reason why me no have forever friend).

like streams rolling into cleaner streams

no end looking for a forever friend,

a friend in deep,

this way and that and everywhere between,

that very hope forever the thing (even more serious, can't have this).

we cool, (my pretend forever friend),

coolest vinyl records in school,

this very hope forever the thing,

no end looking for a forever friend.

and here come bulls charging, shaking ground, opening,

slide underground, baby,

shine the boots and sing the song

and don't forget to grab the gong,

butterflies on beach doing limbo,

heads like cars, wings like malls, antennae slow burning cigars,

bless they hearts,

leaning, leg thingies shuffling under low sticks,

Katy Perry's, Teenage Dream, thumping,

slashing lightning.

as for caterpillars, baby, they around

like paranoid clowns,

deaf to Katy's sound, looking each other up and down.

could be better could be worse,

could be under witchdoctor curse,

you know the sort,

fondle privates in public yo ass go blind, yikes,

homie don't play those chimes (not that I wouldn't enjoy the experience of one day fondling privates in public, seems great way to spend a Sunday, but there's so little time).

this way and that and everywhere between,

this very hope forever the thing (feel like snorkeling through a bottle of gin, not a bad idea, better with killer margarita, a pair of scissors in hand).

no end looking for a forever friend.

at this point one might say:

the end will never be, nor has it ever been.

to that I reply:

what you say is well and good,

but dude,

consider soon a doctor visit you should.
