Look to the Sky

A Poem

By Lorin EnnsPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

Look to the sky on sunny days, and look on days with rain.

Don't move your gaze on days with grays, despite your inner pain;

for in the end there cannot be a feeling of uncertainty to cloud your mind continually if you look to the sky again.

Look to the sky when you're feeling high.

Look up when you feel down.

Don't let silly troubles try to fill you 'til you drown.

So build a ship or choose to sink.

Let your doubts choose how you think, or fight the good fight past their brink and put them in the ground.

Look to the sky through all your years, from childhood to death.

Don't ever stop to question why right days turn into left.

The answers aren't so simply seen to questions held from tender teens to weary elders whose hearts have been renewed from their bereft.

Look to the Sky.
