Longing

Beneath the moon's glow, I sit and yearn. Moments lost to time's unyielding tide. Heart wanders where stars return. Dreams linger on the shadowed side.

Your laughter echoes in night's embrace. Melody haunts the silent air. I reach for you in empty space. Whispers of a love once there.

Dawn arrives, my soul is drawn. To distant shores where memory entwines. Ache of you lives on, gentle pull at heart's confines.

Long to hold you once again. To bridge the space that keeps our worlds apart. In dreams, I find you waiting, and I pen these words of longing from a hopeful heart.
