Lonely Valentine

Love in 50 words

By Samantha SmithPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

In their absence,

I miss my family with all my heart,

Terror wracks me at the thought of disaster,

I am paranoid and terrible,

Icy until my feelings drip down my cheeks,

Another Valentine’s day across an ocean,

Traditions left patiently in the past,

Valentine’s day empty,

My heart full.

Missing people who are an ocean away is difficult. Beautiful poem. Somewhat sad however. Nicely Done!!!
