Alone in a crowded room,
A lonely teenager, out of tune.
Silent cries for a friend to hold,
But no one hears, no one knows.
A heart that aches with every step,
A soul that feels like it's been dealt.
A hand that reaches out in vain,
In a sea of people, feeling estranged.
But in the darkness of the night,
A spark of hope begins to ignite.
For tomorrow is a new day,
And maybe, just maybe, it'll be okay.
So she holds on, with all her might,
To the dreams that keep her going.
For the lonely teenager knows,
That one day, she'll find her belonging.
