Loneliness

A Short Poem

By Rika LekayPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Oh, how I crave being alone,

I can do whatever I please,

And the only person who’d care,

Is myself.

It’s often associated,

With negativity,

But I see nothing wrong,

With being alone,

It helps me clear my mind,

My thoughts,

Invent new ideas,

Or doze off...

Into my dream world.

There’s more positives,

Than negatives,

About being alone,

Than to the naked eye,

No people to look up to,

The only person you look up to,

Is yourself,

I can freely speak out loud,

And broadcast my thoughts,

Openly and honestly,

Broadcast them,

To my one-member audience,

They’d agree with me,

It’s like...

Venting in a mirror or,

It’s like a coping mechanism,

For anxiety.
