If I could capture your true image

and hold it here between my fingers

Let it seep beneath my skin

until my blood begins to thin

Making room for your invasion

to satisfy emaciation

That the lack of you created

as your vapor essence faded

If I could absorb you like a canvas

creating a new life here, between us

Stroking boldy every line

keeping you intact, blending with mine

What a masterpiece we'd be creating

softly forming, gently shaping

True love exploding every hue

that God himself reserved to use

Maybe then, you'd see the beauty

and the ability to see through me

Becoming a true work of art

within the beat of our two hearts

Just simply a poem the delves into the psyche of all in many ways.

  • If you were to do that with me, I fear you would continue to find yourself emaciated. But I love the poem & the sentiment for whomever it might be intended.
