Living a Life True to Self

I find the meaning in the bosom of nature

How much money you may have earned,

How many papers you may have published,

How many business empires you might have built,

How many people you might have known —

None of it will matter when you die.

So there’s no point in trying to impress others,

No need to spend life chasing importance.

Just be kind —

It’s non-negotiable.

And be true to yourself.

Do what feeds your soul.

For me, it’s

Being in nature,

Marveling at the miracles around me.

I feel alive

Under the sycamores and cottonwoods,

By the wild oat meadows,

Where no approval is needed —

Only gratitude.

You are so right, but every once in a while, it's nice to be noticed for what one accomplishes in this life. Good job.
